i have a question about fishing?

i hav just returned from quite a successful days fishing (thanks to the help of fishsteelhead and laura) and unfortunately my maggots have gotten wet with the rain and have turned "frothy" is there any way i can dry them out?
and also are okuma reels a good brand for coarse fishing?
and oh yes i caught 8 fish in total :)
