I have a question about army jobs...?

my husband is scheduled to ship out next week to wtc.. when he went for a security clearance he was not given one because of a few items in collections from a long time ago that we were honestly unaware of, he is going into the infantry, how will the lack of security clearance affect his job? Also does the military give you a chance to clear up past debt after inlistment, i mean once the debt is cleared will they give him another chance at some sort of security clearence, i mean i heard they offer financial counseling... serious answers only please
 
He's infantry.... Don't worry about clearances, they'll get him cleared. If every infantry soldier with a spotty past was denied serving, we wouldn't have an infantry left to fight with! Trust me, they need the warm bodies, they'll get him in there
