I have a problem with my mazda 6's Axle does anyone else?

i have a 2007 mazda 6 and i got it in 2008 it had 59,000kms on it and well i have dont mixed driving, and just recently i have noticed a clicking on my driver side and i took it to my mechanic and he told me that it was my axle, i was wondering if anyone else has or is having this issue with there mazda 6.
i really don't think this is wear and tear....
the car isnt drove enough to be normal wear and tear the car is driven about 600kms a month if that.
