I have a problem with my 1993 buick lesabre please help...?

Well, they charge all of us an arm and a leg, but that's part of car ownership. It sounds natural that your lights would come on for a short time after starting. Once running, it does sound like a fuel pump or fuel FILTER to me. It's a '93. How long do you expect it to run, especially when it's clear you do no preventative maintenance. I didn't know Buick's came with coils, but any experience I've had with coil problems, I don't think that car would move AT ALL. Had one let go in a snowmachine, and a Mazda RX7. Niether moved. Check your filter. If that doesn't work, you've just got to take it to a mechanic. Tell them the situation and perhaps they'll slap the computer onto it for $20.00 or so. What ever, I think it's time to dump it. Sorry.

Ok my car has been kind of jerking and at first the lights on display would turn on for like a quick second (check engine, security, etc,) then it started cutting off completely but would quickly turn back on. Now the car doesnt turn on at all. I have no idea whats going on with the car someone said to me it might something called the coils (I have no idea if thats how you spell it) someone else said electricity in the car and also fuel pump. so can someone help me put and tell me what it might be. I dont want to go to a mechanic and they charge me an arm and a leg. so please help!
