I have a problem with a reverse light Honda CR-V. Can anyone help?

The light used to work occasionally, as i put the car into reverse gear it comes on but goes straight back off again, i have been told it could be the reverse sensor???
 
The light, if it is only one then check the bulb. If it is both lights try to put it in reverse to get the light to what you are saying flash. When in reverse move the shift lever a little, push/pull some to see if the light will come back on. If it does then it is in the contacts of the neutral safety switch, or what you call the reverse sensor. I think that one has some adjustment there. Good Luck.:^)
