...sound? is this safe to do to ur car? Its a 2005 pontiac G6 GT. With a V6 engine, my friend told me to remove the resonator, does this REALLY make your car sound like a older muscle car? Also can i pass an inspection with it? I've never heard of this resonator stuff before so, any answer would be great. Thanks!

Your G6 won't sound anything like a muscle car if you remove the resonator, it will just be louder than it was. "Muscle Cars" had V8's under the hood - V8's have an inherently different sound than a V6 will have, even if the resonator (or the entire exhaust) has been removed from the G6.

As far as passing inspection goes, I suspect that you probably won't pass an inspection if they look under the car and see that the resonator has been removed/bypassed.

it will sound differnt, but i dont think you'll sound like a v8. as far as inspection, as soon as you remove it, your going to throw a check engine light, so no, you wont pass inspection. also resonator is just anther name for catalitic converter.

good luck
