I have a Panasonic SB-WA330 sub and a SA-HT500 dvd player and it randomly goes off!!!!?

I have a Panasonic SB-WA330 sub and a SA-HT500 dvd player when i turn up the base on it the hole sytem turns off wheater i am watching a dvd or using it for music, i dont know whats causing it? hope you can help.
