wont work. Any suggestion? I know that it isnt on the list of working cameras but I heard that it would work with the firewire port.

Virtually all digital cameras talk with a PC or Mac via USB. Another thing since 95% of the planet runs on windows Apple products are not a very good choice.

Try a card reader. Even a Mac should see a card reader.
