For an art project:

I have spray painted a plastic material with krylon spray paint for the primary color. What is the best type of paint to use to paint over spray paint? I need it to create fine detail in some places.

make sure you use krylon brand paint if you are going to spray over it with a stencil because they use a hybrid paint that isnt compatible with others

the reason is because is you put lacquer over enamel, for instance, it will strip the enamel and wrinkle it ruining you whole paint job.

use acrylic paint but dont put it on until the spray paint has dried for three days at least
