I have a painted turtle and I was told to feed it worms but she is not

eating. Can anyone help? I was told to feed her worms so that is what im doing, but when I put it in front of her she doesn't seem to acknowledge it. I've had her for about 2 days now. I don't know when the last time she ate because my father found her on the road. I really need advice.

Don't put the worm in front of her. Put a small live earthworm in the tank and let her find it. Your fingers probably frighten the turtle.
