The Xbox 360 Pro (regular) comes with the aux cables red yellow n white.
they also have the green n blue wires for HD along with the HD n normal tv switch.

my tv is oldish i think its like a '01-'03 maybe '05
but it has the green n blue input sockets.

If i plug my HD cables into it n use the HDTV switch

will it screw up my tv?

or should i not risk it n stay with the normal tv settings...
?

Wait so does your tv have HD settings? Mine is autodetecting, so if I hooked the Xbox up with HD, the tv automatically changes to the HD setting (if yours has HD and is older, you might have to change the setting manually on the tv (to 720 or 1080)).
Also just plugging it in and flipping the switch to HD won't do it. You also have to go into the system menu from the Xbox dashboard and change the output there.
But it sounds like you are unsure if your tv even has HD capabilities..... I don't think it will screw your tv up, but it might not display the picture (if it is not capable).
