i have a molar broken several places and sharp bits damaging my tongue and cant

heal as always touch tooth? i am awaiting surgery for several broken molars and one of them is badly broken with sharp ragged edges that is ripping my tongue. It cant get chance to heal as is always in contact with the broken edge. I have no money to pay dentist so have tried to flatten it with a smooth nail file. (not metal) to no avail.what else can i try
