I have a Mazda Eunos 1992. The headlights 'pop up' but I have to wind them down

manually, any suggestions ? My husband has checked the fuses under the bonnet and the fuses in the panel beneath the steering column. these all seem to be OK.
They pop up using the lights 'stalk' and the push switch on the dash but the dash push switch seems to go 'back into the dash' a bit too far, could this be the cause of my problem??
 
the problem is the headlight motor, you have to replace it

it has been working for 16 years there is nothing you can do, you have to buy a new one
