Absolutely! If he has no legal claim, only verbal, which is hard to prove then you can have him evicted! Even so with him not paying the contracted rental fee, then he has breached your "verbal agreement"! Send him an eviction notice via certified mail giving him 30 days to vacate, and on the 30th day bring the sheriff with you to have him removed! Good luck.

Check with a attorney (ok). One thing you will need to do is type up a letter, make copies and mail it to him Certified - where he has to sign it. You have to give him 30 days to move out, but it has to be stated in the letter, also state that if he does not pay the back rent you will take him to small claims, to get your money. Too bad you do not have a signed contract - but he is living there scott free and that is not just. I would see if you could get legal advice for free (do you belong to a union at work- that offers free legal advice. If not, you may have to find an attorney (hopefully the first consulatation is free) and get some legal advice. Good luck to you.

Take him to rent court and have him evicted. The sheriff will serve him with an eviction notice, just hope he doesn't trash your place.

Definitely. Take him to court, have him evicted, sue for any rent he hasnt paid, and for any damage done to the house. Your sister may have to split some of the costs but at least get his half and get him the heck outta there.
