I recently found out that my thyroid gland is not functioning properly. I am going to have to go on medicine to regulate it as soon as the rest of my blood work is done. My question is.....what other health issue can be caused by this? I have already experienced lack of energy, a weight gain of about 20 pounds, and insomnia. Is there anythin serious that I can expect? Please let me know, (my doctor has not gone into much detail with me as of yet).
