When trying to start the van, I get a click from the starter for about 3 tries. On the 4th-6th try, I get a quick 1-3sec crank from the engine then stops. After that I finally get it started.
When driven for awhile and engine is hot, I'm able to sometimes get it started on the first try. Anyone know what the problem could be?
I bought a new battery, and that didn't solve the problem. I also cleaned the battery connectors, and checked to see if there were any cuts in the negative or positive wire, and nothing.
I live in Hawaii, so it doesn't really get that cold here...hehe. and as for the starter, I'll get it out as soon as I can and get it tested at an auto parts shop. would that help me find out if the starter is the problem?
