about 3,000 gallons.? i've had it near 30 years. it has never been real clear [ i have No filter system, cant afford one] this year it has a green "algae" growning in the water..i can only see the fish when they come to the serface to eat.. they seam otherwise healthy.. but i qwould like to clear the water.. i have "dosed it 4 -5 times with an algae killer and once with a treatment that is suposed to eat up dead algea..nothing has worked even a little.. how can i clear my water [it has been relatively clear for near 30 years] without the use of a filter which i cant afford..?

okay....there are approx 360 cubic feet of water in your pool. ! cubic foot equal approx 7.48 gallons. Therefore you have approx 2,700 gallons. The use of anti algaenates tends to cause heavier re-blooms. The water has become too nurient rich - nothing like fish shit for fertilizer - causing heavy algae blooms. Have you considered introducing snails....hungry lil suckas and mighty damned good eating! The alternative is to drain, scrub out the carp crap and refill.....and add snails.

I'd take a pool skimmer (or a make shift one) to get as much as the algae as I could - then follow up with an algae abatement treatment

Would guess some invasive species of algae has made it's way into your pond.

You want to increase the number of oxygenating plants in the water. Floating plants such as lillies and lotus provide shade from the sun which is needed for the algae to grow. Anacharis and parrots feather are two plants that you can add that are submersible and help oxygenate the pond. One bunch of six to seven strands can be used per two square feet of water surface. These plants starve the algae by taking all the nutrients in the water. You may still get some algae but it will go away shortly after the plants take.
