...made DVDs.? She has a computer with a DVD - ROM player that plays Store bought DVDs just fine, but wont play the ones I made for her on my DVD recorder. The Windows Player window comes up and says she needs a conterter of some kind. Any ideas? She is running Win XP and we thought we had solved her issue when we discovered she hadn't selected her players region so when we did that, we were able to play a store bought region 1 dvd but when we put in a disk made on my dvd recorder and her dvd recorder, we couldn't play either of them. This is not a dvd + or dvd - issue as we had thought, it has something to do with the WMP conversion. Help if you can. We already downloaded and installed the latest driver, but that didn't work and MSoft says we have to "buy" the converter for XP OS....is there a free way around that.
