...It To This Car? Hi. I own a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDI (Y Reg - 2001). This Car Came With A 3 button remote key fob for the central locking (1 button to unlock doors, 1 button to lock doors and 1 button to open the boot). This fob has started to play up, I think the battery cradle has worked loose so I am wondering if I can buy one of these key fobs from eBay (I have seen them on there for quite a reasonable price.. round about 30 pounds) and program it to my car. If so how do I program it. I have read in the manual and on the internet that you turn the ignition from the 0 posotion to the II position 4 times within 6 seconds and then it will go into learn mode, then press any button on the new key fob and hey presto! it will be programmed to my car. I can't believe it can be this simple and if this is the case how can a Ford dealer charge you 160 pounds for a new fob if it is this simple to do it on your own. Any help and advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance
