i have a few questions about switching to AT&T from Verizon :P?

Okay, to start off, I'm seventeen years old, I'll be 18 in early March. I'm not sure if that matters or not. My parents, brother & I all have Verizon, my parents pay for it all. But like everyone else in the world, I really really want an iphone, I hate my blackberry! So I want to have my own account or contract or whatever at AT&T. I plan on doing that when I turn 18 in March. And now, I have a few questions haha..

- Do you have to be a certain age to be on an account/contract by yourself?
- I heard they do a credit check, is that true? & I don't have any credit, because like I said, I'm only 17. I also read somewhere that if you don't have any credit, you have to pay $500 to open an account with AT&T?
- How much does it cost/month to have unlimited EVERYTHING with an iphone? (and yes, I know that you have to have the $30/month data plan)

You must be 18 to sign a contract. You have to be employed. You must pass a credit check or pay a security deposit. The lowest security deposit for an iPhone is $500. I've seen them as high as $800. Unlimited everything is $150/month plus taxes and fees.

The next iPhone will be released in June or July. If you're going to be paying the kind of money you're going to have to pay, wait for the new technology.

I think most of your info is correct or at least was at one time. A basic plan is probably about $60.00 plus the $30.00 per month data plan. AT&T will be happy to tell you all about the plans and costs. Just call them or stop in.

I agree with bub. Go into an at&t store and talk to them. My mom has awful credit but she didn't have to pay anything to start up our contract aside from the activations fees and such.
