...more phobias? It seems to me like the society is rusophobic because of the anti-soviet media campaign during the cold war. islamophobia is the mainstream a couple of years and now i feel increasing sinophobia. or its just the media are giving a false image. this is a question, not a statement, so i am open to answers, it really maybe just my false perception.
 
The media creates hysteria, though the ones you mentioned are not real phobias, but valid concerns. The real phobias are the hysteria over nonsense like global warming, SARS, bird flu, swine flu, etc. Coming catastrophes that oddly never actually happen.
