tell me what does bribery mean? Bribery is the most pervasive form of corruption in contemporary societies.
sorry for writting wrong spellings...
it is following and not folling
thankyou have a great day!

Bribery is when you secretly pay some one in authority to do something that they wouldn't do without the payment. I'm not saying that this ever happens, but if a parent gave a school teacher money for giving their kid good grades, that would be bribery.
What the whole sentence means is that bribery happens everywhere (pervasive) today (contemporary) and that it is harming society (corruption.)

Edit - @ English Major. I have developed an instinct which tells me when a kid is just lazy and when he/she is in trouble. The latter case breaks my heart.
