...to get my keys mi truck is 2001 th? ey still can do my keys or my truck is too old
 
you can still go to a dealer with it but you,ll need proof that you do own it other wise they wont make you a key for it,they can still cut a key for it if its the original ignition switch in it,if its been changed you,ll be out of luck with it,good luck.

Go to a locksmith, they can make you a key to fit your truck
 
if your key was just a silver piece of metal no just go to a hardware store and get one made. If it was silver and the top had a thick piece of softer plastic on it it's most likely a key with a chip inside which is going to cost you at least 35 bucks at the dealership.
 
Yes you can go to the dealer. you'll need the registration card, and your drivers license to prove you own the car and they will cut you a key off the vin. that would be the cheapest way. or you can call a lock smith that will come to you.
