I have a Debit Card with the MasterCard logo on it. Can I go to ANY atm without a fee?

So I am kind of confused as to when i pay the atms transaction fees.

I know that if you withdraw money from an atm that's not form your bank, then you have to pay a fee. However, I heard that you do not have to pay a transaction fee if the atm machine and your debit card has a mastercard logo on it.

is this true?
