So a few months ago it hailed and cracked my windshield.. I just got done spending like 550 dollars on my car changing the tires and tire rods.. Now inspection is coming up and I'm going to be SO pissed if I have to change my windshield for 280$! It's on the drivers side from top to bottom, it's not spider webbed or anything.. just a straight crack that splits once.. but doesn't obstruct my view. :/

You didn't tell what State your from But in Most states with Inspections have approximately the same standards as to windShields. They are usually in the area of: If a crack appears which obstructs the drivers vision or is longer than (8 inches) then the vehicle fails. The BEST way to get the right info is to go to your states OFFICIAL Motor Vehicle Web site and look up Inspection standards. Beware of the Non official ones such as dmv.com. This is NOT official. BTW, It doesn't have to be "spider webbing". The usual standard is a probability. This crack will PROBABLY extend while driving and hitting NORMAL bumps, etc. Just check with the web site so you can get the right info. Good Luck
