I have a Contempt Of Court / 1 1/2 year missed trial?

I have had a case in 2008 and ive been to court twice but i didnt know i had to go to court the 3rd time. Then One 1/2 years later I was going to join the army but the army found out that i had a record and had to go fix it before i could join. So i went to the police station to try to fix this but instead of talking about it they simply arrested me and then i had to get bailed out. So i had my same case still going on that i thought was finished, then they slapped on a contempt of court on me too. So i went back to court and when i got in there the first thing they did was tell me that there were no complaints on my first case and it was dismissed. But my contempt of court is to be still tryed with a jury. So now im tripping out because i dont know whats going to happen to me, ive missed my last court date for a year 1/2 and am i going to go to jail?? all i want to do is go in the army. Am i a criminal contempt of court or just a normal contempt of court? Please help me answer this question.
