I got a sbc 5.7 l from the local junk yard. I know its a 350 cause of the 5.7 stamped on the block
The engine number is 1024388C all I could find on this is a forum that had said this number is a 1996 truck vortech engine. But the yard had 1992 written on the tag that was on the engine.
The engine has center bolt valve covers so the vortech idea could be true.but how do I find out for sure? It also has a reman tag on the front driver side with the number 662968 Does anyone have a web link to help me find as much info as possible. I welcome any help.
