Hands are Tied

rights are being ignored? He wants to live at home with the family, but is being denied, and visitations are limited. What can we do?
He lives in a group home called "Mentor", and those people are stating that he's not fit for society, yet he has had a job, and he lives in a huge subdivision, (IN SOCIETY)! He wants to be @ home with his family, and his family all want the same thing, but these people are making up excuses for why they won't allow him to. Even took it to court against our family, and they won. Now they're mistreating him, and just up and moved him yesterday, and didn't even notify us. He called us instead. Won't tell us why he was moved, or why they moved him 3 hours away.

Denied by who? If the whole family (mainly his parents) don't want him living at home then theirs nothing you can do. But if someone else state officials etc are saying that he can't live at home w/ his family then you seriously need to talk to a lawyer asap cause no that's not their call to make so if that's the case talk to a lawyer and if need be go to court cause unless it's deemed unsafe for him to live unsupervised then they're should be no problem. Good luck!

what is exactly wrong with him? you might have to go to the court systems and prove to a judge that you or the family member he will be living with are capable to take care of him. what kind of home is he in? who put him into the home, or medical facility, it should be the families (and the persons) choice as to where he lives.
