I removed carpet to find these awfull glue-down tiles from the 60's. After removing them as well I am left with a black residue on the concrete. Can i thinset and lay ceramic on top of this "glue" reidue? Im using an 18inch tile if that matters. Floor is very level ist just the residue preventing the thinset from adhering well that concerns me
