...broken cable that control? s the speeds(5), needs 2 new tires and tubes. Would it be worth it to fix this bike? If so, how much would it cost to fix? I also have another bike that is in fine shape and rideable. I was thinking of fixing the Ross bike to have as a spare, second bike. Would it be worth it to fix it?
I'm not a bike commuter and I have a car.

Put the Ross on the auction block. Someone that likes to tinker will take it off your hands right now. Unless you're a bike commuter or live car-free, I doubt you need a spare bike so much as to warrant putting any money into the Ross.
