I have a '99 Mazda 626 that the sunroof wont close, plus it makes a "Ern"

noise when trying to close, Help? Also, It only moves back. Currently is 1/4 open. When I use the "close button/Forward to close" that when it makes the noise. It also makes that noise when I shut off the car. Also if I hold the but the noise is no made(only in the beginning). I've try forcing it close, doesn't work.
