...battery) and has a bent crankshaft.? It always starts when I take it in however, so they aren't able to run diagnostics to find the problem. One option is getting the electrical portion of the ignition switch replaced, but with no guarantees that this is actually the problem. Any ideas on this would be helpful.
The crankshaft is another thing. Last time it was in for the starting problem, they noticed the crankshaft pulley was very wobbly. It was replaced but still somewhat wobbly - that's when they discovered that due to this problem having been there for a while, the crankshaft is now oblong instead of round. I was told to listen for any different noises coming from under the hood and that it could last for a month or two, or 5 years. Does anyone have any idea as to how long this car may last for me without having to drop a new engine in it? It's not worth it, it has 124,000 miles on it.
