I have a 97 Acura and the radiator just blew out and poured antifreeze everywhere....

...Any ideas? I have recently replaced timing belt, radiator, serpentine belt, and was going to replace water pump but the man said it was too rusted to remove. I hope it is not the water pump and I know it wasnt a hose. Is there a good chance of it being the thermostat and the radiator blew from that??? or if it is waterpump they said they would have to pull engine...how much would that run??? Thank you, Emily
The radiator was plastic on bottom and top and the antifreeze poured out from several places on the bottom of the radiator.
 
Most modern radiators use an aluminum core with black plastic end tanks. The plastic tanks tend to crack and break open after being so hot for so many miles. You may just need another radiator, whether a new one or a good used one from a wrecking yard.
 
If they said that your water pump was too rusted to remove that may indicate that your radiator was rusted too. Whether it is rusted on the inside or outside will be the key difference on how extensive any engine damage would be. Hopefully nobody got hurt with the hot antifreeze and you shut the car off immediately. I would have it towed to your mechanic or the dealership if you don't have anyone else who could help you look at it. I know this doesn't help much, sorry.
