there is a ticking when ? I have a 96 chevy cavilier and when i put it in reverse it made a clunking sound. Now there is a ticking when im driving and the car is shaking!! I was recently stuck in the snow and had to be pushed out. Also, today while driving drove through a very large amound of water? Does anyone know what this could be?
 
Constant velocity (CV) joints? Ask a mechanic to take a drive around the block with you.
