i have a 95 wrangler with a 4.3 vortec v6 chevy motor and tranny 4sp auto 4x4?

I go to start it and it just turns over and over...about the 5th time i started it it cranked right up...it cranks prolly every 6th try or so...i let it run for bout 10 mins and it doesnt die at all...it idles bout 7 or 8 and one time the motor reved up by its self...what in the world could this be...also, would it be ok to drive it to the nearest shop?
i try to start the jeep...after trying to start it 5 or 6 times it fails.it turns over great...then when i try to start it again it cranks right up and idles fine...when i shut it off and try to start it again it wont crank at all but turns over great...then again after 5 6 more trys it starts again...did that help
 
i have no idea what could be wrong with it by your description. the worst that will happen is it will break down. You wont hurt anything that isn't already broken by driving it to the shop.
