I have a 94 ford explorer it turns over but wont stay started.Water gushes out...

...radiator right away.please help? The water comes out of the radiator right away..Just took out thermostat cause it went out...Live in florida dont really need it..everything was fine until thermostat went...Now it wont turn over and stay started...please help single mom trying to figure it out...thank you fro your time...Have a blessed day..Butterfly
