I have a 93 MX3 mazda with 250,000 miles on it and a burnt valve at the number 4 cyl. ?

what I would like to ask is , can I use a motor out of the same year and make and model of vehicle , except the motor I want to swap with is out of a car the had an automatic transmission in it , and the car I want to put that motor into has a standard 5 speed manual transmission in it and I want to keep it that way.I haven't paid for the other motor yet but I would like to be very sure that it will bolt up to mine before I put out the cash for the replacement motor
