I have a 91 Mazda pdx that has the hold button on it. I just had a motor put in it

and it is staying in low.? The transmission is staying in low gear now. The yellow light on the dash panel that says hold is flashing all the time. Can any body help me or should I take it back to where I had it worked on?
Please help me.
