if the trans. is going the motor will rev. but you will not go. smell the trans. fluid , if it smells burnt it is wrecked , a transmission cooler is the only cure for overheating .
 
...transmission is over heating.? We took our first trip in this motor this weekend. We traveled about 50 miles most of it was up hill. Thats when it started loosing power and wouldn't go any more. It kind of cut out but not. The motor wasn't getting hot, and I don't have a gauge for the transmission. I was wondering what the symptoms of a over heated transmission are? And what can I do for a fix?
