I have a 50 inch toshiba tv, projection and bought a samsung blu ray best hook ups?

ok it doesnt have hdmi, so I bought this av cables with the yellow, white, and red rocket fish brand from Best buy, will there be a difference of that and component cables with my blu ray player, or not really?
