I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 sedan. I have been told that it is front wheel drive, so I would think that with the weight of the engine, there would be nice traction, wet or dry.
However, whenever I accelerate from a dead stop with wet surfaces, I spin out no matter how much gas use. When it is dry, on occasion on fast accelerations I spin out a little bit.
I have no car expertise at all but I would imagine this is due to the fact that since the car is front wheel drive and with the engine, it has lots of weight, so the back is lighter so the back tires spin..??
My car has about 19000 (estimated) miles and my friends do lots of drifting, so "I" believe it is because the tires lack tread but the auto shops fail to see any issue.
Any advice besides the obvious/pointless/stupid answers (i.e. - stop drifting, new tires, your car sucks, get this car - its better)
Thanks to any and all help!
Happy New Year!!
