It seems to run fine at higher speeds, but when I slow down to come to a stop, it sputters and dies. I took it to a mechanic, and they're saying the computer is bad, and a new one will run about 1800 dollars. Would a faulty computer have these symptoms? I'm wondering if it could be something else. Any help would be appreciated!
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer. I haven't had any trouble with it til today.?
