Curious and Cant stand it

6 months it will just turn off? Both times it turned off I was slowing down to stop and the engine just shut off. I put the truck in neutral and started it and it starts right back up. I'm not sure what could be causing this or where I should even start to diagnose it. I'm thinking maybe a new fuel filter or could it be something else?
