Would anyone happen to know how many miles per gallon you get AFTER the gas light comes on? Gas is TOO high and I have rode it out, but put gas in it before I got too far just because I have no clue how long I can go....
 
i have a honda, and i get gas that day. it all depends on your vehicle and driving habits. i know it's expensive, but fill 'er up. you get better mileage if you're working off of a full tank.

EDIT - try the full tank thing for yourself.

Most cars will do about another 60 miles after the light comes on. But there's no guarantee.

What does high gas price have to do with riding it out? You get the same average MPG no matter when you fill up.
