I have a 2003 chevy monte carlo the fans do not run unless I unplug the temp sensor.?

I checked all of the relays. I replaced the temp sensor. The fans will run if I unplug the temp sensor. The a/c comp does not run either. I have the 3.4 engine.
I checked all of the relays. I replaced the temp sensor. The fans will run if I unplug the temp sensor. The a/c comp does not run either. I have the 3.4 engine. The temp sensor is new today. Is there a way to test the temp sensor? The temp gauge works when the temp sensor is pluged in.
