I have a 2001 Suzuki GS500 It is hard to start.?

When I try to start it,it wont start unless u give it gas and then it bogs then runs for a minute and shuts off.I cleaned out the carbs and put in some new o rings and still have this problem.After shutting it off it sometimes leaks gas form the drain hose.Can anyone please help me with this problem.
