140,000 miles on it. The car runs like new & has been taken care of. Suddenly, when the car sits & idles after it has been driven for a while it starts acting screwy. We can hear what sounds like a relay clicking from the fuse panel on the passenger side of the dashboard & the inside lights, the headlights & marker lights all start flashing in time with the clicking relay sound. Also the car wouldn't start until I just held the ignition key on & it started between clicks & stayed started. After a while, it all quit & started running normally. This has happened 3 times now & always happens under the same circumstance. Also, a message comes up on the dash which is the Passlock Theft deterrent system. It goes off when the car quits messing up. I'm kinda car dumb & don't know what to do.
Thanks!

chevys have problems with there ignition switches i would have someone look into it since u do not have acces to wiring diagrams goodluck also try useing a diff key for a while if problem goes away u proley have a key going bad cause newer gms use a megnetic field to determine if the right key is in ignition try key first then take to tech to have electric part checked out if key dont work
