thermostat gasket.? Now it is overheating all the time. I didn't have this problem before. I have tried having another thermostat installed, and it still overheats. Everything appears to be working. Any suggestions?
I agree with the hound. The system was probably not purged correctly. If you look at the thermostat housing there is a small brass screw in the top of it. This needs to be open to fill the system since it is the highest point. You can try opening it now and see if the air will purge, but you may also have to drain and refill the system with this open.
