I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee that im replacing the thermostat. This

thermostat is on the bottom of the e ngine. I*m replacing the coolant but have to remove the bleed fitting when filling the coolant bottle. Question is do i keep the fitting off or put it back on and keep taking it off when adding coolant ?
