I have a 2000 buick regal and it shuts off while running does anyone know about cars?

this problem has just started and i can be driving the car and it will turn off now before it turns off all the lights in the dashboard start to light up also the traction off light. Does anyone know what it could be?
 
Check battery cables at BOTH ends. Be sure battery posts are factory clean. This reads like a general type of ground fault. Start with the basics. Make sure the alternator ground is OK, too. Have your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE cleaned out, as well. Good luck!!
